Some weddings are big and bold. Others are intimate and personal. Christy and Alyssa’s elopement? It was both. On a breezy, sun-soaked Long Beach afternoon, these two said “I do” in front of the iconic Pride Rainbow Lifeguard Tower—just the two of them, the ocean, a few meaningful props, and a whole lot of love.

Christy wore a sleek white jumpsuit, while Alyssa chose a simple knee length white dress. No frills, no fuss—just pure style and intention. The rainbow details in their accessories added pops of color that felt like joy you could see. And of course, the Disney touches were sprinkled in, because what’s a fairytale without a little magic?

They shared their personal vows barefoot in the sand, laughter and tears blending in that perfectly imperfect way that real love always looks like. One of their sisters officiated the ceremony, adding another personal touch that made this celebration feel like home.

Afterward, we strolled along the shoreline for portraits under the late afternoon sun, chasing color, light, and connection—my favorite combo. Then we made our way to a local coffee shop where they cozied up over lattes and let the “just married” energy sink in.

As an LGBTQ+ friendly photographer based right here in Long Beach, these are the kinds of love stories I live for. Bold. True. Colorful. You don’t need a big ballroom or a guest list a mile long to have a wedding that’s unforgettable. Sometimes, all you need is your person, the ocean, and a coffee date.
