Each couple has a different love story, and one of my favorite parts of my job is being able to showcase those unique stories. This is why my engagement sessions are so personal. I want to get to know my couples as friends.
So this session specifically we first started at their apartment in Downtown Long Beach. They cuddled on their couch with coffee and snuggled their cat. I helped guide them into what would seem like uncomfortable positions, but ones that they ended up loving after all was said and done. It was easy for them to feel comfy in front of the camera because we were in their space. It was as if we already broke the ice by being in their space. It gets your engagement session starting off on the right foot and gives you such a fun experience.
They ordered amazing local beer, played games like connect four, and we laughed and talked about our lives. These parts I always consider myself a professional third wheel. I always ask my clients “What’s your favorite date? What do you two love to go do together? Tell me, and let me third wheel it!” So that’s exactly what we did. It was fun and personal to them.
So when you go to plan your engagement session, don’t go basic with that one hour in some state park nonsense. Make it about YOU. Let me help you document your favorite photos in your own personal photo albums. Together we can document beautiful memories.
