Capitola Beach, California: A place with colorful houses, beautiful weather, and good food.

I mean where else would one celebrate their daughter turning one!? 

I was so excited to photograph Krisandra and her family as they celebrated little Syd being on this planet for a year now. We first started their lifestyle session on the sand by the colorful houses and then moved to under the pier. We had the most perfect mermaid cake made by Bay Cakes. It had a beautiful hand-made sugar mermaid tail from the top, with shells, and graham cracker for sand. It was absolutely stunning!

A part of my lifestyle sessions, is to document some of their favorite things, which for this family meant pizza. So off we went to go grab a slice and continue on with our session. I won’t lie when I say Syd was more interested in stuffing her face with pizza than she was eating cake… a girl after my own heart.
